There are many static site generators out there, but this is mine and requires only a Makefile and a POSIX shell script that generates the blog structure.
But why not use one of myriad static site generators out there, with many contributions, written in a language that you enjoy or don’t, and probably being much more flexible with theming capabilities etc. The answer to this is that I wanted a simple solution with tools that I already know and enjoy using. And while building it I had the opportunity to learn more and at the same time keeping it simple.
